  • I hear he was to scared to go to Mildenhall.

  • From: Seamus (thingy wotsit) on 2 August 2006
  • so what's he done them? Sorry I mean then.

    Just can't type.

Several Heinekens and Leffes. Big scrotamate left all three bottle openers in my luggage on the car-deck so I can't open the bottles of Westmalle trippel I bought on board. Pressie for Rog and Simon perhaps (if they last that long).

  • I, however, owe that bloke on the cover a sausage.

  • Not wishing to take on Seamus' role, but this was posted on Tuesday 26th August, with the promise of being out "early next week" (w/c Monday 1st September).

I'm still waiting! (eagerly, with baited breath!)

    What's the deal Peter?

    :-)

  • From: Peter Eland (peter@velovision.co.uk) on 2 August 2006
  • Sorry folks, the mag's not out yet. We got it to print on time, as ever, and it was promised for delivery on Thursday last week - which the printers failed to do thanks to 'technical problems'. They are now promising it for delivery tomorrow morning. I'll put a story up as soon as the mags are in my hands.

  • GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!

We never had delays like this with Bike Culture Quarterly;-)

  • Don't tell me: your printer is that fellow from Trumpton, and the Fire Brigade accidentally doused his workshop while trying to rescue the Mayor's hat. (Apologies to anyone non-British or under 25 who won't have a clue what I'm talking about). I can't complain, I don't pay for a copy, I just read it after The Subscriber has sucked every ounce of information from it...

  • From: Bit old and sad (2ndchildhold@trumpers.com) on 2 August 2006
  • I don't remember there being a Printer in Trumpton. There was a fire station, town hall square (with lady selling flowers) and I vaguely remember a milkman.

Wasn't the next village called Thiggly.

  • From: sad old again (as above) on 2 August 2006
  • Sorry, I mean Chiggly.
    http://www.t-web.co.uk/trumpgo.htm

...and this is bike related as PC McGarry of Camberwick Green rode a black bicycle (not to be confused with Policeman Potter of Trumpton).

Trumpton does have a printer after all... Mr Munnings. I quote "He prints everything and anything, but particularly the posters for the Trumpton band concert and Velovision".

  • From: sad old ((you know)) on 2 August 2006
  • Dear me. I'm wrong again.

    PC McGarry number 452

PC McGarry is the thorough, do it by the book type. He travels around on his MOTORBIKE and talks to HQ on the bike's radio. But he's not overly friendly and for that matter he's not very big either.

...in fact theres none of the characters ride bicycles after all.

  • Peter,
Never going to be late? This is really late now. Maybe the next issue will be next year?
    John.
Get packing faster now go Peter.

  • From: Gasman Bill (billm@doctors.org.uk) on 2 August 2006
  • Just had a nostalgic chuckle at the Trumpton/Camberwick Green/Chigley comments ("Murphy is a master baKer" etc). If this is indicative of the sort of people who read this mag I may have to subscribe!!

  • From: Captain Snort (csnort@pippinfort.mil.gov.cg) on 2 August 2006

I am dispatching the troops, under the command of Seargant Major Grout, to visit you and collect your subscription money ASAP.

  • Peter,
Thanks for adding the picture of the 7. Dutch Pedersen-Meeting. I get issue 11 yesterday. My compliments for this great look.
    With regards as always,

  • From: Teri (teri.griffith@anthonybowhill.c) on 2 August 2006
  • It was so nice seeing Stuart on the cover and Denise's daughter inside. Denise has inspired me over many miles with her matter-of-fact attitude to cycling. Seeing Lauren on page 20 nearly made me cry. I desperately want the disabled stuff to down load for a colleague. Is it OK if I photocopy instead?

  • From: ursula embleton (ursula_emblet02@hotmail.com) on 2 August 2006
