  • Would the LeJoG Scorpion be Ben at Kinetics one that did it earlier this year? Can't imagine there would be 2.....

  • Yes - Martin was in this morning eagerly looking for a copy of the mag ;-)

  • From: Ian (youthofficer@oxford.anglican.o) on 28 September 2007
  • Delighted to receive the mag as ever BUT there may be a a problem with some copies (or maybe just mine). Pages 19 -26 are not present but I do have a generous number of copies of pages 27 -34.
    Hey, Ho!
Regards and thanks for a GREAT mag as ever,as well as some articles, so good they are printed twice ;-)

  • From: Peter Eland (Peter@velovision etc) on 28 September 2007
  • Aargh - sorry to hear that Ian. If you could let me know your full name and/or sub number please (by email, or ring me) I'll get a non-defective copy out to you ASAP! This is the second case I've heard about so far... hoping there aren't too many more!

  • From: Arch (@KM) on 28 September 2007
  • Oh dear. Sounds like in future, the highly trained packing crew will have to read every magazine to check! Could take some time...

    Mine's fine, BTW... ;-)

  • From: Chris Brown (celtichearts317@btinternet.com) on 29 September 2007
  • Peter. Eurobike looks like it would be a good day out.As is Spezi. Have you ever thought about organising a coach/plane/train trip to either of these shows? I'm sure there are plenty of sad bike/recumbent 'geeks' out there like me who would love to go and drool over all those lovely bikes and stuff but can't be arsed to organise it themselves.

  • From: Geof (byegad@btinternet.com) on 29 September 2007
  • Now that's a good idea, an outing for a load of us to Eurobike next year.

  • From: Peter Eland (peter@velovision) on 1 October 2007
  • Mmm, not sure I fancy organising it! Hard enough organising myself :-(

Will have a word with Chop Rossiter (see VV 27 p. 52) and see what he says about a coach. Quite a long trip down there to either SPEZI or Eurobike and 'spect it might pricey, but maybe worth investigating...

  • From: Chop! (chop@long-john.com) on 3 October 2007
  • Peter contacted me & we're sorting out prices at the moment, the main advantage (as the Boulder Climbers found out, with their regular weekends in France) is that you would be travelling in a large bus designed to take up to 16 people with all the comforts of home and with built in accomodation! No need to worry about hotels. We could park at a campsite for showers, power hook up (we do also have a 240v generator)
Also there is quite a lot of room for bikes & trikes in the luggage bays.

  • Magazine received, Great Eurobike article. I also visited the fair but did not see all the stuff you mention. It is in fact the greatest cyclingfair, maybe a new name GLOBALBIKE...

  • From: Edje (eddyclissen@telenet.be) on 12 October 2007
  • Why do I have to read issue 27 here first, I still waiting for the magazine to come, thinking about to spent my money elswhere.
