York Cycle Show this weekend!


Come to York with 10,000 other cyclists - and read on for details of the unmissable Velo Vision pub ride on Saturday evening...

This weekend is the York Cycle Show and as ever Velo Vision will be there with back issue bargains!

See our report on the wet and windy 2008 show here and on the more pleasant 2007 event here.

As usual we'll be running a VeloVisionaries ride to a nearby (5 miles?) pub, the newly reopened Ship Inn at Acaster Malbis, almost all on off-road cycle tracks. Meet for 7:30 on Saturday evening under the covered walkway, near the toilets at the show entrance. Route is as follows:

    • Just to add: in recent years food service at the pub has been on the slow side on the evening - no doubt partly due to a bunch of cyclists all turning up at once and wanting dinner! So it might be worth eating before the ride unless you don't mind a wait, or can subsist on peanuts.

    Oh, and for anyone not familiar with the York Selby bike path, yes, we really will be riding out beyond the orbit of Jupiter...
