New Moulton goes carbon!

Latest "MDev 90" model released on inventor's 90th birthday is apparently a carbon city bike...

According to this post on the Moulton Buzz blog, which links to this story on 'thisislondon', "the carbon-framed MDev 90 is a more comfortable, slimline version of the bike which first made his [Moulton's] name in 1962."

The article is light on technical detail, and no pictures as yet. It does say "Its ground-breaking feature is that it can be put together by a dealer, anywhere in the world, in about 20 minutes, rather than cyclists having the usual two-to-three-day wait for the shop to build it" which seems odd - most bikes come almost full-assembled these days.

A polished steel one-off F-frame bike was also presented to Dr Moulton by workers at the Moulton Bicycle Company: as Moulton Buzz also reports.

  • Blimey - must be lightweight if its floating 8 feet off the ground :-)

And a certain old chestnut holds true here: if you have to ask, you can't afford it!
