Velo Vision gets VAT registration, online shop delayedVelo Vision is now a VAT registered company - this should only affect advertisers, for whom full advertising info should be available in the next couple of days. The online shop is in the process of being activated, but it seems to be taking a while. Magazines are 'zero-rated' for the UK's Value Added Tax, so there's no effect on anyone who buys magazines. But Velo Vision's VAT registration means that companies who advertise with us and who are also VAT registered (or, in most cases, are registered for an equivalent tax in their own country) can claim back the tax element of the cost of advertising. Our VAT number is: GB 766 9376 67 It also means we can claim back the VAT on 'input costs' such as buying computers, software etc. Advertising information is being compiled now, and will be emailed or mailed to all those who requested it (and to quite a few people who didn't ;-) in the next few days. Sorry it's taken so long - it doesn't leave you or me much time to get the ads together and to me ready for printing. Finally for now, the online shop still isn't active. We submitted our activation request to Worldpay several days ago now, but they apparently need to check all our programming etc for security and so on.
