FOR SALE: Linear Recumbent U.S.S. The Linear recumbent has been manufactured for over 20 years and the basic design has hardly changed. This one is a 1994 USS (under seat steering) model and has only been lightly used. It is a 42" frame and is suitable for riders with an inside leg between 28" and 35". I have more bikes than makes any sense and I use them all hence the low mileage (. The original brakes have been upgraded to dual pivot calipers and Sachs twistgrip gear shifters have replaced the thumb shifters. The current model retails in the U.S. for $1900 plus taxes. I have put this bike on eBay item no. 260237089807. The auction runs out on 14/5/08. At the time of writing the highest bid is only £52 with no reserve so go grab a bargain! If you require any more information on this bike and its history please point your browser to www.linearrecumbent.com
The full ebay listing is as follows: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260237089807Phone: 0121 233 9929

| Optima Rider recumbent trike for sale. Actually has 63 gears (3 X 7 X 3), as being the simplest way to keep a fast top gear but get down to 11 gear inches for creeping up steep hills using the best force I can muster through my tin knees, and without falling over sideways. I can no longer ride a normal bike nor walk far, but this trike has enabled me to go for good "walks" with my wife in the Pennines and the Swiss Alps. Trading "up" to a Hase Lepus because it folds and has two driven wheels with a differential with most of the weight on those wheels, therefore less likely to spin a wheel when climbing hard on loose surfaces. Optima Rider can be tried, viewed and haggled over in West Yorkshire UK by substituting john and thring in given email, and you-know-what for "at". Send your email for photos. Any reasonable offer accepted; if none received I shall probably eBay it. Phone: 07867532957

For Sale: Peer Gynt Lite "Dino" LWB - only £300 I have a Peer Gynt "Dino" - identical to the Peer Gynt but without suspension and hydraulic brakes. It is quite old and doesn't look like a new bike, but it is plenty fast enough. An advantage is that your head is above the level of a car window, so it has much greater visibility than a lower bike. I'm not especially fit (OK - that's an understatement - I'm not at all fit) but the Dino got me from Oxford to Cambridge (about 90 miles) last year and has done several shorter 50-mile rides in comfort. It's faster than an upright on the flats, and downhill you can really get up some speed. The dual caliper brakes haven't failed to stop me yet, and I go down hills like a nutter. The lack of suspension is mitigated by the very comfortable seat. Alternatively, you could fit a larger rear tyre which would be softer. More details and pics at
