Velo Vision and Velo-VisionWe didn't get there first with the name - a German bike shop called Velo-Vision has just sent friendly greetings. Velo-Vision in Kuerten, near Bergisch-Gladback, Germany, have been around since 1999-2000, and have a comprehensive website. We'll swap links and work together... Velo-Vision specialise in recumbents, and handle sales, hire and offer guided tours around the area. They're at the center of a 'recumbent hotbed' - the redoubtable Fehlau brothers come from that area, and Axel Fehlau, HPV record holder, leads some of their training rides. Looking at the recumbent page on their site, it looks like they've got a pretty full selection. They're also producing the 'Zetty-Tec' - a low-racer recumbent inspired by Walter Zorn's Kreutzotter: This is the 'everyday' version which weighs about 13kg, with full suspension. An unsuspended 'race' machine should be much lighter... They're also in the process of developing a full fairing for everyday use. Sounds like an interesting place. Here's their rather nice logo: For more, email [email protected]. They wrote to me in good English, so there shouldn't be language problems. Posted on 15 January 2001 Your comments ...
