High-capacity 'Cargo' Schlumpf drives on the wayHeavy-duty versions for 'the most extreme' loads are under development... Florian Schlumpf Spezialmaschinenbau, who make Mountain-Drive, Speed-Drive and the new High Speed Drive bottom-bracket gearboxes, inform me that they will introduce 'cargo' versions of the Mountain-drive and Speed-drive this spring. The new units will have a clutch mechanism with 80% larger load-bearing area - and, says Schlumpf, will withstand "the most extreme loads": The High Speed Drive already uses the new mechanism, apparently.
