German HPV Champs 2001 in Leer, OstfrieslandLeer, a small and bike-friendly town in the north-west of Germany, near the border with Holland, is the location for the 2001 German HPV championships, from 14th to 17th June. The location should encourage a good international turnout. UPDATED Sunday 4 Jan - it's in June, not July like I wrote earlier!
Full information (shortly also in English) is available on the official championships website: www.dm2001-in-leer.de  The proximity of the venue to the Dutch border - and good transport links - make the organisers optimistic for a good international turnout - all are welcome - you don't have to be German. Other features planned for the event include: - Special awards - longest ride to the event, youngest and oldest riders, etc. - some publicity-friendly 'Tour-de-France' references - yellow, green and red jersies for various prizes - team awards - awards classified by rider age - races for disabled categories Posted on 04 February 2001 Your comments ...
