2004 Events update
Dates now confirmed for Cyclefest, York Rally, Round-up folder event, Oz HPV Challenge, CycleVision, Bike Right 9.5, Bike Right 10 and Ireland's new Go Cycling 2004 event. Any more?
I've just updated the Events listing page to include all of the above events, and more! Highlights include:
Maybe the last-ever Cyclefest. An event not to be missed if you're into any sort of alternative cycling - recumbents, folders, HPVs of all descriptions... get a taste of past events, and latest details of the 2004 Cyclefest, at www.cyclefest.ucsm.ac.uk The ever-more-impressive York Cycle Show now has a website for the first time in its 60-year history. And the new organisers are dragging it kicking and screaming into this century. It's a huge event and a great place to see loads of HPVs and interesting bikes, talk to owners and manufacturers and also plenty of bargains on offer. The first "ROUND*UP Small Wheel and Folder Fest" was well-received last year. Held in Philadelphia PA, USA, it's on again in June. See www.trophybikes.com for more.
Any more, please let me know! Organisers, please do semd me the details of your events ASAP - so people can plan their year ahead.

I'va also added CycleVision in Lelystad, Netherlands on the 5-6 June to the event listings. See report in Issue 11 and previous issues - probably largest recumbent event in the world. |

Is this site broken?
It used to flow with comments from an array of commentators but now seems to not. |

Array of commentators! Perhaps it was one person pretending to be different people. They couldn't of liked it when they got told off recently.

And sorry the flow of stories is a bit slow. First it seems to be a bit of a 'slow news' season just now and secondly I'm just getting into the Issue 12 production frenzy... |

I was just wondering whether everyone was on holiday. Anyway, linking to the pedalcar story comments, is no-one up for Octos racing? How many Octoses (Octi?) are there in the country? I know of three. Think of the complications of devising a handicap system between the eight seaters and the seven seaters... |

Maybe there needs to be a place for 'general' comments Pete where topics other than those covered can be discussed. Open to abuse I know but most people visiting this site are sensible folk... |

Yes, and thanks to Simon a separate discussion board system is more or less ready to go. I'll try to get it up and running after Issue 12 is safely at the printers. |

BikeRites for next year are 13 to 15 Feb and 29 to 31 Oct, all based in the Scottish Borders area. E-mail me for more info. |

Yes, I was beginning to get jaded. I think we're all in post-season torpor. Nights drawing in, cold, minds not on cycling. Time to start thinking about next year? Bit depressing that, like admitting this one's over. Ah well, some of us were out mending punctures at 07.20 this morning. No wonder I'm off bicycles this week! |

13th February is my birthday.
Perhaps Trevor could give me my owed bottle of Vodka at Bike Right.
October's Bike Right has been re-named Bike Fright on account of Halloween on the Sunday. Doubtless one of the regulars will have to rush home that night as she has things to do that night.
Byke Kultuur Never will be out soon. It would have been tommorrow but unable to upload some pages due to problems at work. |

Well damn me! 13 February is my birthday too. |
