Velo Vision Issue 1 nearing completionHere's a preview of what'll be in the first issue of Velo Vision - out around the 5th March. The cover isn't yet finalised, but it looks like we'll be using a detail of the San Francisco Bikeway Mural, thank to the very generous efforts of the folks over there: ![]() Colours, text and probably layout will still change - that's just an early rough. And we're on a very tight deadline to get photos taken and sent over, so there's also a chance we might have to use a different cover entirely. First issue contents include: - News reports from the world of cycle culture - Calendar of events for the coming year - Claude Marthaler reports on 'icons of Africa': wire model bicycles, and the hopes and lives of the people who make them - The San Francisco Bikeway Mural - a stunning community achievement - Ice racing HPVs from Minnesota - A day in the life of a workbike rider - In-depth reviews of the Birdy folding bike, the Lightspin Dynamo and the Hobie Mirage pedal kayak - Reviews of the latest cycle-cultural books, videos and more - New ideas in specialist cycle technology of all descriptions - And quite a few more things which aren't yet finalised ;-) Thanks to all the contributors who have come through with stories, images etc - and of course to the wonderful support I've had from advertisers, who have made the leap of faith to put their money into the first issue. Same goes, of course, for advance subscribers. Thanks! I'm going flat out on finishing this just now - so apologies in advance if quantity and quality of website stories seems a bit lacking over the next couple of weeks. Cheers!
