Thought upright trikes were dead? Think again...Just came across a fantastic carbon-fibre upright trike made for a competitor at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000, where it won two silver medals. The machine was made by Terracycles, a specialist cycling and engineering company in Portland, Oregon, USA. They also make their own SWB recumbent and are a useful source for parts for HPV builders. Check out this trike: It's shown on this page: http://www.teleport.com/~terrac/cftrike.htm ..which has full technical details. Other upright trike riders may be particularly interested in the steering damper - I've heard from several riders that some such device can improve handling enormously.
