Gardner Martin passes away


HPV pioneer and Easy Racers founder Gardner Martin dies: tributes flood in.

Gardner Martin was one of the best-known figures in the US recumbent and HPV movement, and will be sadly missed. His Easy Racers recumbents are one of the US's most popular and long-running recumbent brands, and as this page describes were a dominant force in HPV racing for decades.

An announcement of his passing was made on the Easy Racer Discussion Forums site, and this thread on the same forum offers some memories and tributes.

This thread on the Bentrider Online Forum contains further postings recalling Gardner and his life.

Condolences to all family and his many friends. A full obituary will appear next issue.
