Velo Vision online shop - detailed info

How the shop works

Payments are handled by Worldpay (www.worldpay.com), one of the largest providers of secure internet payment facilities. Velo Vision simply get confirmation of order details and payment - we don't see credit card details. Worldpay accept most major credit and debit cards. If you don't one of these, or yours isn't accepted for some reason, some other ways to subscribe are detailed here

Orders for magazines already in print will be sent out immediately, and should certainly reach you in less than 28 days. All magazines will be sent airmail - please select the correct postage area when you order. You can also choose whether to start your subscription with the current issue, or the next (upcoming) one.

If your magazines don't appear within a few weeks of when you expect them, please let me know - I can look up when they were sent out, and will resend if something seems to have got lost in the post.

The basic process is:

  • Select a subscription, single issue or whatever via the button appropriate for your region (at the bottom of this screen)
  • When you find the item you want, put in the quantity (usually one!) and click the button to "add it to your shopping basket". You'll then see the contents of the basket. You can again use the three 'subscription' buttons to go back and add more items if you wish.
  • If you make a mistake, you can always empty the basket and start again.
  • When you're happy with what's in the basket, click the 'checkout' button. You'll now see a comfirmation page, and spaces to enter name and address. Click 'submit' to proceed.
  • This takes you to one final confirmation screen - click 'buy items' to proceed.
  • You now leave 'our' website and the information you've entered is transferred to Worldpay's secure server. Follow the prompts which they give you - card information etc which you give them is not transmitted back to us, just a record of the payment.
  • Once the process is complete, you may not for some reason be transferred back to Velo Vision - if this happens, you may need to re-enter the Velo Vision web address to continue browsing.
  • You'll be sent an email receipt by Worldpay as soon as they've processed the card payment.
  • I won't normally send you an additional receipt by email, but if you'd like confirmation from me, please just email.
  • Although our site doesn't use cookies, I think Worldpay does. If your browser is set to not accept cookies, you might have to temporarily enable them to order successfully.

Gift Subscriptions

Our online shop doesn't currently have a built-in facility for giving gift subscriptions: it only allows me to ship to the same address as the cardholder. But we can get round that: if you'd like to buy a subscription for someone else as a gift the process is as follows:
  • Use the shop as if buying the subscription for yourself, filling in your own address details etc. But choose the shipping area (UK, EU, Rest of World) according to where the recipient lives.
  • Then, send an email to me at [email protected] which includes your name and the recipient's name and address. I'll check (for security) that the details match the recent online purchase and send a reply to acknowledge.
  • If you'd like the first copy on the subscription to go to you (so you can give it in person) then please just let me know. I'll send subsequent issues to the recipient.

Refund Policy

In accordance with EU regulations you, the shopper, have the right to cancel within seven days of placing the order, or seven days of receipt of the goods (whichever is the longer). To cancel, just contact me, details above. If you cancel your order, your payment will be refunded in full immediately. If you have already received magazines, then please return them to the address above. I may also often suggest that instead of returning them, you give them away to a friend or school or the like. Formality aside, I will do anything reasonable to ensure that all customers are happy.
