Ther was a bit in the Sunday Times yesterday, apparentlty the top dog at Shell UK is taking early retirement this year and is already in talks with Greenpeace for some environmentally friendly managerial post.

I think I saw this chap on a TV show a few weeks back. It was a part of the "War on Terra" series presented by Marcel Theroux. Anyway, Shell felt they had to have someone from their PR department on hand when he was being interviewed in order to make sure the MD (or whatever his title is) didn't step out of line...

I saw him that program as well. He acknowledges the problems of global warming etc and the PR woman had to stop him saying anything Shell decided was controversial. I got the impression that Shell would be happy when he was gone.

Well, if he really is going over to the light side, he'll be a real asset, with his inside knowledge. Good on him. I expect he could just sit back and take on some hideously highly-paid-for-doing-nowt 'consultancy' job if he wanted.
