 Ride to Cycle Vision?
Author: Roger the Hilldodger (---.proxy.aol.com)

OK, I'll make it clear from the start, what with running Cyclemagic, organising Ride Leicester, running Cycle Heritage Leicester and having a life outside cycling, I'm NOT going to organise this.

However, if there's a group riding over from England I'd love to join in.

If I don't cramp your style by being too good looking.

No no no! I'm already doing Bikerite, Ride Leicester, the Beer festival and Cyclefeast. I can't possibly justify Cycle Vision, in either time or cost. No. ABSOLUTELY NOT! No.

(Whisper the next bit) But maybe I could....

Yeah, I'll be interested, work or being abducted by aliens willing.
Are you sure about having a life outside cycling Roger?

If I ride there, I won't be able to bring anything nice back with me. I should have me campervan by then, so I could offer lifts home to anyone who breaks down! Or is tom planning on taking his Citroen H-van, Belleville Rendezvous-stylee! Arch can ride in the chair on the roof blowing the whistle.

Yeah with my hairy lip and one-boot-bigger-than-the-other... Cheers! ;-)

(Preferable to being the dog/tyre substitute though)

Well I will be going over with Sherri Donaldson (Newcastle - Ijmuijden) and we will be going by van (fully faired bikes not ideal on the road) so some return beer transport not a problem.
I suspect that Peter will need some magazines taking over as per - is that so Mr. E?

Yes indeed, many thanks! Once again CycleVision happens right around when VV 18 is due to be delivered, so I'll have to take care with the timings.

Cheers!

Peter

Looks like apre-departure envelope-stuffing party for the York contingent, then!
And Arch, I have a fairy-cycle you could borrow!

Yeah, right on Pete.

Pay no heed to these malingering holiday makers.

You just knuckle down at work and make sure Velovision keeps coming out on time.

Norwich. Isn't that where the world's most famous bicycle designer lives?

I'm interested - anyone else?

Can you give us a few more details?

Ta.

Hi RD
M.B.lives and works not far away at all.He shortened some cranks
from 170mm down to 150mm and now it's a lot easier going up hills
on my lynx.
Mike also very kindly helped to adjust my father's windcheetah so now
it's a perfect fit.
As for the Cyclevision weekend no firm plan has been put together yet,
so I'll keep you updated

cheers
O.k

Drat. I have a course scheduled for the 3rd. And it would be the potentially useful "Preparing for Upgrade" and not the potentially useless "Interpersonal Effectiveness" of the following week. But keep me informed, I might be able to juggle the date. Assuming I can keep the pace up... How fast are you likely to be riding?

Hi Arch,
I'd say Rogers style of driving is fairly relaxed (if you don't mind me saying that Roger). I went with Roger & Simon to Cyclevision in 2002 on a heavily overloaded Flevo Oke-Ja (never, ever again!) and managed OK - despite the bad weather, and dash for the ferry on the way back.

Oh, I went home last night having decided I probably wouldn't go, and now I'm wavering again...
