For what it's worth, the BHPC now have their very own forum of their very own, so they can drone on and on and on and on about whether a Marmite jersey is more aerodynamic than a Dennis The Menace one.

Just thought I'd let you know, miserable old *** that I am.

Should you be so sad it can be found on http://www.bhpc.org.uk/forum

Was well impressed with that article in the BHPC magazine. Nice that aspects other than racing are going to be promoted. So impressed am I that I'm going to stop repeating nasty anti-BHPC stories I'm told.

We are nice people really (well most of us).

Mind if I ever run into one of those who spread malicious rumours - they might be telling the truth for once...

Non-race topics in the BHPC? At bloomin last! I may subscribe to support such a move (just as i make sure CTC know why I won't subscribe).

An interesting forum that will shape up to be. Fishnets as turbulators to trip the boundary layer that may adhere to shaved legs? No, perhaps not...

Riley, are you feeling quite well?

No actually, I'm quite chuffed I know what he's on about. At least I think I do...

Mike Burrows suggested leaving an unshaved strip running the length of the shin.
It's probable effect would be to make your competitors unable to breathe properly!

It's to stop air sticking to the fairing / leg / whatever.

Oh, it's a terrible problem. Every evening when I get home, I have to scrape off a layer of air that's stuck to the front of my jacket...

A long time ago, someone convinced a member of their racing team that shaving all their body-hair would give them a serious advantage and that the whole team were going to do it for the next race.

Needless to say, on race day, the poor victim turned up singularly bald all over...

These days we tend to have bodywork to get inside of which would remove the need for shaving (not that, apart from that time, I think anyone much did)

I'm led to believe it was head, legs and arms only.

As I said, it was a long time ago.
